Born Sydney, NSW 1930.
John has painted professionallly since 1972 after a career in management and design in the fashion and footwear industry. He has no formal art training, but studied with W Chandler, L Taprell and O Kuster.
He has held 10 one-man exhibitions and numerous jpint exhibitions in Sydney Galleries. John's paintings are held in many private and corporate collections throughout Australia and most overseas countries.
Preferred subjects include landscapes, marine and city scenes, floral and still-life, mostly in oil, but also in acrylic, pastel and water colour.
He is in demand for painting demonstrations and workshops by art groups and conducts occasional painting seminars in all mediums.
John was President of St George Art Society for 15 yearas and was conferred life membership in 1992. He is also a memeber of Southern Cross Art Group.
He travels extensively in search of new painting subjects and fishing gear always accompanies the paints and canvas.
