Remy Z Lorken
Remy was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. In 1967 she migrated to Australia and settled in Bonnet Bay, where she lived with her family until 1998.
Remy started to paint in 1968 when encouraged to do so by Otto Kuster, another artist and cloe family friend. Mainly self-taught, Remy uses the palette knife and enjoys painting landscapes, street scenes and still life, mainly flowers which remain her favourite subject.
Shortly after starting her "newhobby", Remy entered some works in the Oyster Bay Arts and Crafts Show and received "Highly Commended" award for one of her entries.
Still a resident of the Sutherland Shire, Remy supports local art shows and Galleries such as Sutherland Art Gallery and Saints Gallery. Remy also exhibits at Berrima Galleries and Norton's-Allenwood at Bombaderry.
Remy isa memeber of a select group of artists known as the "Palette Knife Painters of the Sutherland Shire".
